Art and paintingsExciting and vibrant synergy is happening between The Australian Artist and Talent Register (focusing on promoting Australian Artists) and the Brisbane Artists Academe (providing quality professional artists as tutors/mentors with technical, creative and artistic skills). Both businesses operate Nationally and truly believe in promoting and developing the creative talent of artists throughout Australia.

The Brisbane Artist Academe was started when co-founders Krisstie Byrnne and Regina Dolan, both professional artists, pooled their collective talents in art administration and art training and recognised that there was a major gap in the quality of technical based art, painting and drawing in Australia.

The Academe started in July 2008 and has over that short period proved very successful, this year announcing four Art Scholarships and through the Art4Life website now Monthly Art competitions with Masterclass Artist workshops as prizes.

The Australian Artist and Talent Register and the art competition site 'Art4Life' was the vision of Robert James who (as a self taught artist) understands the difficulties struggling artists have gaining exposure in today's competitive world.

With this in mind he has endeavoured to provide a national web site that would provide a free data base for both emerging and established Artists allowing them to be assessed by their peers as well as the public.

The Australian Artist and Talent Register also provides the hub for Galleries wishing to source Australian's many unknown and most innovative new Artists.

Currently The Brisbane Artist Academe and The Australian Artist and Talent Register are providing a National On-Line Art Competition with the subject being "Still Life" and we are inviting those with the artistic talent and interest to enter.

Entry is FREE and will remain open till the end of February.

Voting will be open to the public and we encourage RSVP Lovers of the Arts group members to take part by entering a competition or simply VOTING for the best art.

Voting will take place during the whole month of March with votes instantaneously sorted and arranged from top to bottom in descending order. On the last day of the month the artwork displayed in the top left hand corner shall be the winner.

And the PRIZE THIS MONTH?
A six day Masterclass Artist workshop with noted artist and tutor Mr Paul Mc Donald Smith.

Competitions are run monthly so please stay tuned for details on next month's Art Competition.
