Being single in the GFC

The Global Financial Crisis has affected everyone in a different way... and there's no doubt that there's more to come. But does being single make it harder to deal with it? You don't have anyone to lean on if you lose your job or have more bills to pay... or is it easier as there are less mouths to feed and you only need to worry about you.
