We met at Church... with all His blessings

Maria & Con

Posted by RSVP on

I have met who I consider to be 'the one'. It all began in March 2008 when a close friend of mine registered me on RSVP.

I received a lot of kisses and the beauty of RSVP was that I could filter through and pick out the ones I liked and the qualities I was looking for in a man. The one that stood out to me the most was 'challenging1 who is now my partner of 5 months.

We met about 2 weeks after daily e-mails to one another. He knew I went to Church and suggested that we should meet there for the first time. What better place to meet, in the house of God with His blessings. We had talked about where I stand in Church and if we didn't recognise one another inside that we would meet outside after the service.

It just so happened that we stood about 2 meters from one another in Church. I was looking at him to get his attention and make eye contact, to get some sign that it was him but he wouldn't look at me. He was nervous.

After the service was over he walked straight by me and sat 3 pews in front of me. I walked over to him, said hi and sat next to him. I was very relieved that it was him. I was obviously interested from the e-mails and speaking to him on the phone and when I saw him I knew I wanted to know more about him. We chatted for a little while and he asked if he could see me again. He came to church a few times after that to see me and we've spoken practically every day since.

Our first official date was not till a month later. He presented me with a pink rose, we went to a lovely Seafood restaurant in Narrabeen and he was being the perfect gentleman. We shared a seafood platter for two. We both had a list of questions to ask one another, I answered every question honestly and openly and this is exactly what I got in return.

Things have progressed quite rapidly since. We have met one another's families, Con is the centre of attention in my household and loved by all. We go away on day trips together and it feels like we've known each other forever. We communicate so well together and have plans and dreams for the future.

Thanks firstly to my friend for registering me and to RSVP for making it possible.

To all those in search of 'the one', Good Luck and always remember to ask lots of questions!
