Don't think, just chat!

Should I write something funny? What if they don't have the same sense of humour? What if they think it sounds stupid? What if it doesn't come across properly? Oh no!Writing good emails to someone you are interested in can be a tricky business. How many times have you had to read something over and over again to make sure it really is funny? Or been confused by something you have been sent? Well, worry no more!
Instant chat is RSVP's solution to keeping your contact details private, whilst still giving you a chance to have a real time chat with someone that you are interested in.
It couldn't be simpler:
- Make sure the person you want to chat to is online (you can tell that they are if there is a green icon in their profile info box or it says "online now" in green next to their profile name)
- Click on the "chat to me" button on their profile page
- The other member gets a pop up box letting them know that you want to chat with them
- They have an option to accept or decline the chat
- If they do accept, you can start chatting (typing) away and off you go!
The cost to chat is the same as sending the first email (one stamp) but as you get to have a conversation straight away it takes away the painful job of writing that first email and the worry of waiting, maybe days, for the response!
You will be charged one stamp in order to open up this communication (which will only happen if this is the first time that you have contacted this particular member, and only if they accept the request to chat).
We've also added some buttons on the right hand side of your text box which give you an opportunity to change the look of the text to add your own flavour to your conversation. And don't forget, once you have opened communication with this member, you can chat or email them as much as you like for the next 30 days.
So if you want to contact someone, but worry that you haven't quite got your Uni degree in "Extremely Engaging Email Writing" yet, instant chat is definitely for you!
