Am I the droid you're looking for?
I'm a mature, fun loving, laid back, loyal guy who enjoys experiencing new things and getting out of my comfort zone.
I grew up down south so I am a country boy at heart. But I have settled in the city for now!
I like both going out and staying in and am just as happy at a pub as I am at home watching some movies or TV shows, or reading whatever novel I'm on at the time.
I live for travel and I can't wait to get out on the road when I take leave. I have backpacked Europe and New Zealand and just returned from 6 weeks snowboarding in Canada.
I'll gladly go anywhere in the world just for the experience. There's a few specifics I'd love to share with someone!
I'll admit I'm a little bit of a nerd (have a look at my 'interests') and I love music. I think I have a wide range of tastes from indie rock to drum n bass, to punk. Its a bit out there!
Random interests include: Spaghetti Bolognaise, anime, snowboarding, bad puns, military history, making bad chocolate slice, exploring places I haven't been, micro-breweries, fishing, dark humour, drop bears, the odd video game, meeting new folk....
My job is probably one of the more demanding roles out there and at times can be very stressful. It takes up a lot of my time and I am subject to shift work. I do, however, love what I do and wouldn't want to do anything else. Unless I was a professional snowboarder. Maybe I'd do that!

What I'm looking for
I want someone who knows who they are and what they want out of life. I want someone who shares interests with me, because let's face it life's meant to be shared with people, but who also has their own identity and can teach me a few things. I would like woman who's smart, easy-going, and honest.

- Music
- I like a lot of independent music, at the moment I'm big on folk and dreamy music. I also like the odd punk and hardcore band, but my headbanging days are long over.
- Reading
- I read mostly fantasy books, currently on A Song of Ice and Fire series, but I'll read biographies and I like the odd history book as I was a big fan of history in high school.
- Movies & TV
- Star Wars, Indiana Jones, Back to the Future, Zombieland, Game of Thrones, South Park, The IT Crowd, Black Books, Game of Thrones, Blackadder, Modern Family, Firefly, Alien series, Batman (Dark Knight and sequels).There's too many to list here, but I am a fan of sci-fi, action/adventure and comedies
- Sport
- I like watching and playing AFL, I go for Geelong Cats I also enjoy playing the odd tennis match (not very good!) and swimming. And I suppose snowboarding is a sport....
- Other Interests
- I love snowboarding, and would follow the winter around the world if I could. I also like riding my motorbike, I like to spend time with my German Shepherd and I recently went indoor rock-climbing which was pretty cool. Love live shows, videogames, and small bars.
