Quiet, pensive but unexpectedly adventurous. Not good in crowds, but interesting company one-to-one.

Since immigrating to Australia from England twenty years ago I have moved around quite a bit, but within Queensland. Ever since I moved here two years ago I have felt like I'm permanently on holiday! I love living at the beach and spend as much time there as I can.
I am a languages teacher, but much as I love the children I sometimes crave adult conversation and some company in the things I like to do. I'm interested in conservation and multiculturalism. I look forward to being able to travel again; I did quite a bit in my youth and I speak French and Italian fluently. In downtime, I mostly read or go for walks. I enjoy concerts (classical), theatre, art galleries and of course opportunities to eat something I haven't cooked. I enjoy a glass of wine with my meals. I would probably be mainly vegetarian if my sons weren't committed carnivores. I'm not particularly tidy, and can usually think of something I would rather do than housework. My main vice is an obsession with correct spelling and grammar, which can give me grief, but I try not to let it intrude too much into my relationships. Don't let it put you off!
