I love trying new things and adventures, like climbing up a waterfall with no safety gear in China. Don't worry, I didn't fall or sustain any head injuries. I have varied interests and am always looking to expand my horizons. I tried Flamenco dancing and had a blast even though my hands and feet refused to move in unison. After my last ski trip to Japan I decided to learn Japanese, and I'm keen to try out my skills at my next trip. I'm not much of a cook but I do enjoy baking, spoiling my family and friends with sweets.
I like the simple things in life such as a good cup of coffee, an engaging conversation, a lame joke, a delicious feast, curling up at home with an intriguing book or movie on a rainy day. I'm comfortable in my own skin and enjoys going to the beach by myself on a sunny day. I love my independence but so often I want to share those simple things with a like-minded person. What I'm looking for
I'm a firm believer that love is a two-way street. Not expecting the guy to do all the work but a little chivalry goes a long way. Good sense of humour. Takes care of his appearance but not to the point of being vain. Open, friendly and kind to those around. Secure in own skin is a must.

- I read frequently and widely. I don't have a favourite genre, however I tend to avoid crimes novel - they terrify me! The last book that made me cry was the Book Thief. The last book that made me laugh out loud was Bridget Jones's Diary. The last book that inspired me was A Happy Refugee.
- Movies & TV
- I enjoy a good blockbuster. Rom-coms are another staple (but i don't expect to drag you to see them with me). I also like foreign and eclectic films.
- Sport
- Gym, jogging and skiing. Would love to learn tennis!
- Other Interests
- Travelling - would love to visit every corner of this planet. Photography - to capture beauty in the world around. Language - it's challenging but stimulating. Baking - I enjoy making a mess in the kitchen and then sharing my goodies with family and friends. Seriously, does anyone read this far?
