Trying my luck at looking for something real

Hi everyone!
These "describe yourself" sections are always a bit hard to tackle. But here I go.
I guess I would describe myself as pretty easy going. I love hanging out with my friends and family and I'm pretty loyal. I was brought up in the eastern suburbs, but despite common assumptions, am not stuck up or snobby.. I swear!
I actually don't like anything or anyone pretentious. I'm happy with sitting on the beach with chips and enjoying the sun or going for coastal walks, or spending a night in with a DVD.

I love to travel and have recently come back from Europe, but have also travelled to the USA and the UK. I would love to go to Brazil on Japan one day.
I have also recently discovered a passion for photography and would love to learn Italian. Basically I love to learn new things and visit new places.
I like to read, and enjoy spending an afternoon with a good book.
I have some great people in my life that make me happy and keep me sane and grounded. But I would love to have someone special in my life to share all those great moments with.
Although I like to go out and dance and party occasionally, I'm over the dating scene out there and I'm looking for something a bit more meaningful.

My interests

Music: I have a bit of an eclectic taste when it comes to music.. Anything with a good beat is good. I love r&b and dance.. But am also loving anything folky and soulful.. At the moment I'm loving Jose Gonzales, Mumford & son and a bit of Bruno mars thrown in for good measure.

Reading: I do like reading. A bit of the classics and the new as well

Movies & TV: I do like a good romantic comedy.. But do like a good thriller or a biopic. My favorite movies are Only You, the usual suspects, ever after, the godfather even :)

Sport: Not a big sports player, although I did play netball all through high school. I do try to get to the gym, but prefer being outdoors to exercise and I do do some yoga as well.

Other Interests: Liking photography, I do like art, particularly from the renaissance period
