about me
I'm looking for more ... growing, learning, creating, being and doing. In the end it's about caring, sharing and enjoying the good that Life offers.
Having spent so much time finding out what I do not like/want, I realised it was time to change what I was doing in order to get different results. This led to taking early retirement in early 08 and, for now, living on a (hobby) farm and taking in fresh air and a fresh perspective. I get the benefits of healthy rural living and learning new tricks while maintaining contact and a social life with friends in Canberra & Sydney. As busy as the farm can be, I make time for reading, thinking/reflecting, doing volunteer work and travelling.
I cannot claim to have been the most patient or tolerant person in the past. That was getting in the way of enjoyment. But there's more enjoyment to be gained from admitting to things that need to be addressed and then making the changes as necessary.
There's so much to see, do, enjoy and be thankful for. There's more time for living loving and laughing. I'd love to be sharing this good fortune.

What I'm looking for

My interests
- Music
- Some music matches and other music makes a mood, a moment or an atmosphere. Music with lyric and melody works for me better than "noise" . Admire those who are musical
- Reading
- Am enjoying reading for pleasure and relaxation rather than just work, news and sport. Also enjoy learning more about meditation and am often awed by reading of people's achievements and endeavour. Love a read that gives a good laugh, even better if out loud
- Movies & TV
- Prefer feel-good, humour, action and some history. Its feelgood for me - no sci-fi or thrillers etc. TV is for news, current affairs, sport and entertainment on channels without ads, trivia or trash.
- Sport
- Enjoy playing golf when I can, would like more tennis and do keep fit and active generally. Am an AFL and cricket watcher and have coached kids teams. Used to do lots more
- Other Interests
- Can and do cook but I'm better helping (preparing the fresh produce and home grown herbs etc) and cleaning up. House trained and house proud. Have travelled widely home and abroad. Enjoying the rural experience but will continue to travel (Italy and Spain Sep/Oct 10).
