I love to laugh - a good quote in North Qld - I am here for a good time, not a hard time. Clean, witty humour with a touch of dryness works well.

I appreciate good conversation. Currently I do Modern Jive and Latin dancing. My next goal is to learn golf. I love travel, and would like to do more. Movies in a number of genres, contemporary music; belting out rhythms at the Wicko with Jungle Kings - but relax with classical. For romance I like operatic tenors and the old crooners. A first date for me is an activity that you both enjoy with conversation and some entertainment makes a nice balance; quality food, wine and Italian coffee. Men who are respectful of women, sincere, courteous and thoughtful are hard to ignore. He does not have to be intellectual, brawny, talented or even employed. Your value is not what you are, but who. I am independent, practical and self-reliant. Walks with my dogs, swimming laps and watching the tennis, boules/bocce, monopoly, scrabble are some of my interests. Not into football, motor sport or cricket, but will cater for friends coming round to watch on TV. I love opera, live theatre, dance parties, exploring Australia and getting outdoors. Used to ride horses, but now just admire them. I am handy at painting, using power tools, lawn mowers and outside jobs. Love to read the Sydney papers at the weekend and books on social democracy and current issues, also fantasy novels based on Celtic legends and dragons, murder mysteries, comedy, intrigue, adventure and the occasional romance (love Jane Austen and Cathy Kelly).

I would dearly love to find a companion for friendship to perhaps lead to more later.
