Mountain Girl gets Safely HomeWe'd both been looking for the right person for a long time. I had commented on profile writing in one of RSVP's blogs, and he saw my comments and found they resonated. Although we were 1300km apart - too far, we both thought, for a relationship to work - we started talking. And talking. And talking. And emailing, texting, skyping and thinking about each other an awful lot.
While this was going on, we were still trying to date people who were more local, but it just didn't work. Finally, during one of our marathon conversations it just became obvious to us both that we were meant for each other, not other people. We finish each other's sentences, laugh at the same thing at the same time, and know intuitively what word the other is searching for.
As more mature people, we understand the importance of companionship and compatibility, and both of us feel we've arrived at a safe harbour with each other.
Somewhere along the line, the companionship and compatibility turned to love. We're getting married early next year. Safely home at last.
