Looking for your doubles partner—on court, or maybe off it? RSVP has teamed up with The Jar Pickleball Club to launch Find Your Doubles Partner, a new event series for singles 30+ that blends fast-paced games with real-world connection.
It kicks off Thursday 11 September in Pyrmont, Sydney—and it’s not your standard singles night. Expect high-energy pickleball matches, great tunes, easy chats, and zero awkward icebreakers. Just real people, in a relaxed setting, doing something fun.
Each event brings 60 singles together for five-minute doubles games, a lively playoff finale, and time to hang out between matches in the bar and chill zone. Whether you’re competitive or just curious, it’s about showing up, meeting new people, and seeing what clicks.
“You don’t need to be sporty, or even seriously dating,” says RSVP CEO Lucia Haigh. “Just open to connection. When you take the pressure off and add a bit of playful competition, great things happen.”
Pickleball is Australia’s fastest-growing sport for a reason. It’s easy to pick up, surprisingly addictive, and way more fun than another night of swiping. And on these courts, chemistry tends to show up when you least expect it.
Between games, grab a drink, a snack, or jump back into the action. You can connect through RSVP’s platform after the event to keep conversations going.
Tickets are $50 per person and include everything you need: court hire, paddle, and a welcome drink. The vibe is casual, inclusive, and social—no experience (or sweatbands) required.
Sydney’s just the start, with more events coming and a Melbourne launch planned for 2026.
