RSVP User Guide / Photo Verification

Photo Verification is a feature designed to help keep RSVP a safe and authentic place to meet people. It allows members to confirm that they are the person shown in their profile photo by completing a quick video selfie check. This helps reduce fake profiles and builds trust across the community.
Once you successfully complete verification, a green check icon (✓) will appear next to your profile name. Verified photos will also display a green check icon, indicating they have been successfully verified.
Why Photo Verification Matters
At RSVP, we are committed to creating a genuine dating environment. While we already use photo moderation and security systems to detect suspicious behaviour, Photo Verification adds an extra layer of protection by confirming identity in real time.
This helps:
  • Increase trust between members
  • Reduce impersonation and fake profiles
  • Improve overall community safety
How It Works
To complete Photo Verification:
  • Go to My Photos or Add/Edit Photos
  • If you have a primary photo, the Photo Verification tab will appear under your primary photo
  • Make sure your primary photo meets the Primary Photo Verification Requirements
  • Follow the prompts to take a short video selfie
  • Our system compares your selfie with your eligible primary photo(s)
  • If successful, your photo(s) will be marked as verified, and a green check icon (✓) will appear
  • The process usually takes 30–60 seconds
Primary Photo Verification Requirements
Your primary photo must:
  • Show only you
  • Be a clear, close-up image of your face
  • Have your face fully visible and facing forward
  • Not include obstructions (e.g. sunglasses, masks)
While some photos (e.g. sunglasses or pets) may be allowed on your profile, they may not be eligible for verification.
Verification attempts are limited. You can make up to 3 attempts per day, and each attempt will try to verify all eligible primary photos.
Tips for a Successful Verification
  • Use good lighting
  • Remove sunglasses, hats, and face coverings
  • Look directly at the camera
  • Keep your device steady
  • Follow the on-screen instructions carefully
If Verification is Unsuccessful
Verification may fail if:
  • Your selfie does not match your primary photo
  • Your face is unclear or partially covered
  • Lighting or positioning is not suitable
You can update your primary photo and try again. For security reasons, retry attempts are limited, and you may need to wait before trying again.
Your Privacy
Your privacy is important to us:
  • Your verification image is never shared publicly
  • It is used only for real-time identity confirmation
  • It is processed instantly and not stored
Photo Verification helps improve trust on RSVP, but it does not guarantee the behaviour or intentions of other members. We encourage all users to continue following safe dating practices.
